Horrible! The car had an indicator on the dashboard as soon as I turned on the car at the Marseille, France airport that said ‘Adblue’. I assumed the car was good and left, car broke down and was stranded for two days with no help from budget. Not only only did it ruin my entire vacation and timeline of a trip that I planned for a year, they in no way compensated me for the hours of cell phone calls, stress, or exhaustion I was put through during this. Additionally, kayak provided me zero help as well! Also the said they would provide me another rental car and never did, which I then ended up just laying for another one. I will never use them or kayak again!

Great experience with car rental company and staff. I think the price was a bit too much but I understand I kind of rented with few days notice so I'd say I'm the one to blame for this. What I didn't like was the fact that I paid for the category of small SUV and what they gave me was a corsa! A corsa definitely is not a small SUV and I feel like I'm owed some money back. We were 4 people in the car, one of which disabled, and we needed more space than a corsa could provide. If I knew I would end up in a corsa I would've rented one category below and paid a lot less.

Upon return all that is required is to drop off the key /controller. A clear sign saying this would be helpful to prevent us waiting in a line with everyone else only to find out at the end just to leave your key on the counter is required and the rest is done by email-- no further discussions necessary..
The insurance was a disaster had to re insure as they would not accept momondo insurance.

The car rented to me had mechanical issues half way thru trip and had to be exchanged. Terrible. Asked for a partial refund and have heard nothing. Lost 4 days of vacation time because of mechanical issues.

The company was closed at our reserved pickup time. When we called a near by location they gave cancelled our reservation because they could contact me by phone… probably because I was on the plane at that time.
all car rental counters at poretta airport bastia long lines except ours, (national), friendly multilingual staff. vehicle just outside, easy drive out of lot. french vehicle a bit quirky but quickly learned , clean, new, low miles, good economy, handled well…we were upgraded no chg to sm ‘suv’ more comfortable. roads on isl such that rarely got above gear 4 (of 6). easy refuel, multiple stations around isl., 2€/liter price makes us appreciate even CA gas cost… easy drive into return pkg lot, drop key @ counter & go. large damage deposit collected at time of rental credit back promptly upon return. good experience.
