I am deeply disappointed with Kayak and with sixt. I needed to advance the rental date 15 days, so I did it well in advance. At no time did KAYAK help me in the process, they only indicated that I contact Sixt, and they told me to contact KAYAK. A disaster. Finally I had to rent in another Europcar and lose my money already paid. There was no kind of refund because they said that the cancellation fees were equal to the value paid. an absurd . I felt cheated. Ha, but I will hire nothing again with Kayak, nor with Sixt.

I was not notified when I ordered the car that it was considered a US order, which does not include any basic insurance. ALL car rentals in Denmark includes insurance - so this was a very unpleasant surprise which costs me an additional 700 USD!

The experience was awful. They didn’t have any car with winter tires, which is unsafe during winter in Nordic countries and illegal in some. They forced us to get a 9 passenger van instead of a car. They charged us extra for the tires, for crossing the border, and for the van. We ended up paying twice as much. They were not helpful to try to solve the problem and wouldn’t let us change the car in another location either. When we returned they said there was an extra dent in a door, which we have pictures that was there in the first place. They may charge us extra for that. Overall a terrible experience. Never renting again with Europcar.

You the Momondo/kayak are really to blame here. Hertz gave me an above average experience after you had lured me into a scam. I was searching for a rental on momondo, one hit was a cheap rental through momondo, as the 3rd party vendor. It was the cheapest, pay upfront deal, so I went with that. However you’ve partnered with highly fraudulent company QeeQ, that essentially was the back bone of the deal. Needless to say they had never heard of the booking at hertz’s, I had to pay for the same deal twice, and now I’m filing a lawsuit against QeeQ. So yeah, I wish I could just give you the momondo company the worst possible rating, and hertz the highest…

Nice experience, but the price list is not understandable. We ordered mini package car, but instead were forced to take a more expensive one. Also the price for the flat tire - 400Euros is non logical, in any sense.

We were to pick up our rental car on a Thursday night. Our flight was delayed and we got in after 11pm - Alamo was closed. They had our original flight info, I wrote from the plane as we were told there was a delay. They said they could leave a key in a box for 50euros. I have not experienced a rental car company closing, knowing your flight info, I said I guess we have to pay the 50 euros, we were definitely not arriving before 11pm. They then asked for a great deal of information, wanted to email us a new contract to be signed and returned. Again, we were sitting on the airplane. There was nothing we could do. We arrived in Copenhagen, waited in a 30 minute line for a taxi that costs $62.00 to drive us to our hotel. And another $62.00 to get us back to the rental company to pick up our car when they were open. We had to get a rental as we were driving to another city. When they saw our arrival time originally why not assume we'll be late and take care all matter in case they needed to leave a key? And why the 50 euro charge for a delayed flight we the customers have no control over? Is it really that much more work to leave a key? I will think twice before I use Alamo again.

Liked the staff, everyone was very nice. The problem was that I paid for a very expensive bridge toll ($65 round trip) ahead of time so I wouldn’t be stuck in the slow lines at the bridge. When I got to the bridge the prepay didn’t work. I held up traffic in an express lane for 10 minutes as things got sorted out. I didn’t even try to go through the express lanes on the way back, I just paid the toll again to avoid causing another traffic jam.

Everything with pickup went so smoothly! I was extremely impressed! The only thing I would have changed with drop-off is their hours. Since they close at 3pm on Saturdays there was no one to receive the car when I returned it, so I'm still waiting for my deposit to be reimbursed. We'll see how long that takes. Otherwise all was good!

they cancelled our reservation because we had not paid a deposit - even though we asked them in two telephone calls to give them our credit card for security of booking. they said both times that we had to pay at the office when we collected the car. however, they cancelled the reservation before we arrived and offered us another car for the next day at 3 times the price.
