Pick up line was over an hour long; agent tried to upsell an upgrade based on the promise of it being discounted to be $30 per day less than the original reservation car class; but wound up being about twice the cost of the original reservation once the transaction was about to be completed;I therefore had her return to the original reservation, but our card got charged for the upgrade, meaning there was an exorbitant amount placed on hold on our credit card, restricting our ability to use it while on vacation. Terrible!

Employees were pleasant. However, we had to wait 30 minutes for them to get our vehicle ready. When the employee dropped off the Ford Focus the car had a smell of marijuana I notified the attendant about the odor and he said he didn't smell anything. Since it was 11:30 PM and they didn't have another car ready we took the car hoping that the deodorizer they used would eliminate the order over night... never worked in fact it got worse.

Pros:Classic bait and switch. I booked and paid for an SUV but they cited a bunch of BS company policies why I couldn't rent that size vehicle. I had a one way rental and they forced my to rent it for longer than I needed just to drive the vehicle off the lot. They even asked for proof of a return ticket even though it was a one way rental. This company is shady. Also, the car was not thoroughly cleaned and sanitized because there was trash in the center console. I had to spend 20 minutes wiping down the whole vehicle as I have a 3 year old who can't get a covid vaccination yet.

Cons:Lay out all your policies in writing at the time of booking. Don't let there be a surprise at the rental counter. Or, just don't rent from this company.

We had to wait 2 hours in line for the car we had reserved on a Wednesday night. It took 10-15 minutes per group at the counter to be processed- this should be a much faster process. I don’t know if was also the fact that there wasn’t enough staff, but they should have anticipated that it would be a busier time due to Coachella traffic. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly, but I felt he took too long and should have trying to get everyone in and out as fast as possible. Also, one guy tried to skip the line by faking a leg injury and instead of making him go to the back of the line when security caught him, he rejoined his friend in front of us. Drop off was quick, but it concerned me that we were asked to just leave the car with the key and could not verify that they weren’t going to charge more for something. Also, the car I chose did not smell good.
