Fake damage was reported!

The wait to get a car was 2.5 hours. As I’m in line, I can hear the representatives & how kindly they treat the other clients. When I got to the counter with my reservation that had unlimited miles, they discriminated against me and told me the car was for 150 miles only and I would have to pay 50 cents per miles after that. The funny thing is, they never asked for my ID, they never asked to see my reservation, they never asked where I was headed, they never asked for my flight information like they did everyone else. They decided that I wasn’t fit to drive their rental car. To give more context, I had on a t-shirt & shorts because it was hot outside. I also wear a mask when traveling due to the overexposure to people and germs. I am in my 30s but most people think I’m in my 20s. I am a doctor and I have my own business. I was traveling for the holiday weekend because my aunt passed away and I missed my last hospital visit because I couldn’t get to my destination because of the older gentleman at the counter decided to treat me less than human. I’m currently grieving but I have reached out to my lawyer to see what can be done about this situation because I lost a lot this day that I can never get back. I hope the people who work the front counter at the LAX location find peace because I did not ask for any special accommodation, I was never rude nor did I argue with anyone like other customers who still received a car unlike me. I just would like to be treated like everyone else.

1.Lower rates. I paid $152 for a one day rental. Seems a bit high. 2. Better airport shuttle. Took 45 mins for a shuttle to arrive to take us to the airport.

The gentleman who assisted us at pick up was par-excellent. His name is L.C. at Midway LAX The vehicle we reserved was not ready at pickup but L.C. resolved the matter to our satisfaction. Had to pay per miles with no notice

I received no email with details of my rental and no receipt as I requested

I have never been treated so well at a rental car place. The gal that helped us was so kind and bubbly. We accidentally rented the car somewhere else and she was able to fix everything, match the price and get us on our way.

Truly an excellent rental car experience - from the customer service to the extra assistance with a car switch mid-rental. Everyone I encountered was both kind and helpful.

Hertz’s policy of choosing from a pool of cars (rather than a substitution chosen by them) was a great way to rent car that I normally would not have paid extra for. Great way to better learn more about the benefits of an electric car and how much simpler they are to operate.

Lady at check in desk was shady and ended up charging me an additional $240 for something I did t sign up for, had to spend 45 mins on the phone talking to multiple people for the refund.

Waited half an hour at the counter. At the end of it all, they didn’t have the truck I reserved. Unorganized and poor management

Excellent service and value. Would use them again

The pick up line was an hour long. We saw associates standing around and not looking to get the lines down. There wasn't a car walk around for damage at pick up. The windshield was cracked and we told the lady at the both who let us out. She said she would note it. She didn't and they tried to blame the windshield on me when I dropped off. Additionally, the price was changed on me from when I booked online. They almost doubled it. When I asked about it the attitude was take it or leave it. I will never rent with Thrifty/Dollar/Budget again.

Dollar is part of Hertz and my recent rental experience was the worst experience with a corporation I have ever had. I will never use your services again.
