Mexico City travel tips

Which neighborhoods in Mexico City should I stay in if I want access to public transport?

Mexico City is a very large city with a busy subway system. Known as the Mexico City Metro, it travels throughout the city and its surrounding suburbs. It is very inexpensive to ride, with fare less than a dollar per ride. For the most convenient option, we recommend that you purchase a Smart Card. You can put a certain amount of money on the card so you don't have to keep buying tickets. Stay near the main stations for easy access. We'd recommend the Roma neighborhood (by the Insurgentes train station) and Cuauhtémoc (near the Cuauhtémoc train station). Some Mexico City hotels in the Roma neighborhood include the Hotel Casa Blanca and the Lisboa Hotel. Hotels in Mexico City in Cuauhtémoc include the Sevilla Palace Hotel and the Fiesta Americana - Reforma.
