We ordered a vehicle online. It offered pick up in the evening. We chose the 6pm slot. Then on our way to pick up the vehicle I noticed that the location close at 6pm!!! We spent 40 minutes attempting to verify. By the time we got through to the office the representative refused to stay so our entire trip had to be rescheduled!!!! We requested a cancellation an he said he couldn’t help us. I’ve been trying to contact Hertz and never get through to a person in a decent amount of time and am forced to hang up!! I am demanding a refund! And will never use Hertz and certainly won’t recommend them to anyone.

Failed to tell you that you had to take a $20.00 cab ride to pick up your car at an off site location and pay a second time to drop off the car and get to the airport!!! No savings after that.

I canceled my car rental because Hertz said they could not guarantee the van that I had rented. I prepaid them in April and they kept $50.00 of mine for canceling. I will never do business with Hertz again.

I had a confirmed reservation priced at $435.20. When I arrived at AVIS, I was told my RESERVED CAR was not available and the only car that was was going to cost me 200 DOLLARS MORE. Given that I was alone, had no way to get another rental, and that time was of the essence because my sister was ADMITTED TO HOSPICE that day and I needed to get there ASAP, I had no choice but to take the car. I’m not sure why I should ever use KAYAK if your your system cannot lock in the price with a RESERVATION. I filled a complaint via your KAYAK customer service and NOTHING HAS BEEN RESOLVED. Feeling abused by both KAYAK and AVIS and will NEVER USE YOUR APP and will tell others not to use it as well and will never rent from AVIS again given their utter and complete dishonesty. A completely HORRIBLE experience.

Horrible experience! We were scheduled to pick up our car at 2 on the 8th. Our flight ran about 20 minutes late but when we arrived at the Avis location there was a note on the door that they closed at 2. We called Avis and they told us there was nothing they could do about it. We called the local office the next morning and they told us they did not have any vehicles for us so we just cancelled. Why didn't the office call us on the 8th to let us know they were closing and to make arrangements for us to pick up a vehicle at another location? Definitely will not be using Avis again!

Very disappointed with pickup. Car was not available and I, along with others, we’re waiting in a line waiting for cars to be returned and cleaned before getting our car and leaving the airport. After a seamless and on time flight, it was very frustrating to have to wait for a rental car to become available.

My car had former damage that lead to a wheel rub when turning. It also smelled like smoke. Neither of which were the fault of the pick up attendant. She didn’t get the car until night before my pick up . When I turned in the car there wasn’t anyone there to talk to and I still haven’t received a final receipt.
