Hertz informed me at pickup that the reservation was for an electric vehicle, but this was never mentioned on Kayak. I had to pay a huge uncharge for a normal vehicle.

I had to cancel the booking before pickup as my flight got cancelled. But they charged 50$ which is unfair as while booking it shown 0 cancellations charges hence I had booked with the card details. I just had to change the dates.

Hertz did not have a car when I arrived. They did not / could not verify my reservation when I arrived. They tried to charge me more for a car that I had pre-paid for. Somehow KAYAK and Hertz do not communicate well.
Unfortunately at pickup they were very overwhelmed with customers and it took an hour to get my vehicle. This was a Sunday and not many other (if any) car rental places are open on a Sunday in the immediate area. However, they were friendly throughout and even made a helpful suggestion that I agreed to, and also allowed me to drop the vehicle back off about 45 min late the next day. Drop off was pretty quick.

Once I got to Enterprise- I was told that they don’t have the reservation in there system. Because I had a snapshot the manager honored the agreement. I had to sit there for hours while they fixed Kayak’s mistake.

The car had light on that said bring to deader for service. The person checking me in overcharged us for the second passenger and then when I returned the car the person checking us in ran my credit card without asking, thereby overcharging me. They said their manage could fix it but manager wasn’t around. Because they ran my car, I could not update my name or email in the system, which were both wrong, and I was told to do it next time I rent with them. There won’t be a next time…

The car only had a 1/4 of a tank of gas. The steering wheel mad noise. The interior was stained like someone had been murdered in the car. So many dents and scratches on the outside. For the money it was ridiculous.
Avis states they do not do credit checks but refused to take my debit card payment without checking my credit. I have never had my credit checked when obtaining a rental especially using a debit hard associated to a physical bank

The place we were told to pick up our car was a damaged, closed building and we were stranded without a car. Support could not help us and we had to scramble to rent from another agency. Truly awful experience!
My experience was very poor. This was my first time renting with budget and my last . I had nonstop issues from the first day I f pick up . I was sent from the 101 west fayette location with a vehicle that should have never had a renter driving in it , the right rear tire was no good which I didn’t find out until my family and I were in route to our destination. I stopped several time to fill the tire with air , and the last filling of air turned into a disaster with the tire popping and bursting of my nephews eardrum . The man who works at the front counter of the fayette location was absolutely no help and showed no sign of caring

I reserved a car. Paid for a Uber to get to the Budget location. Once I arrived, was told there actually isn’t a car available. Had to pay for another Uber home. Waste of my time and money. It’s okay that there isn’t a car but do have the courtesy to let customers know ahead of time.

I booked this car through your website but you guys contacted it through Priceline. Priceline changed the location from the Airport location to a location 30 minutes away. I had to pay more to book a car last minute at the airport.

The woman behind the counter was horrible. Genuinely the rudest woman I’ve ever met and I consistently work in war zones. Fire her.
I thought this location was accessible via BWI Rental Car Bus Shuttle, but it is not. Its a 40 min drive into Baltimore. Very far. Pros: Staff is incredibly kind and thorough. Car I rented was in great shape, clean and Drop off was smooth also. Overall 4 Stars from me. Only reason why not a 5 is because of the distance and lack of transparency on Kayak's website about that.

Make sure you double and triple check the location. I had to shuttle to one location only to find out it was the wrong location then had to Uber to another location 40 minutes away. Then had to pay a hefty fee to change the drop off location closer to the airport. It actually took me longer to rent my car than it took me to fly to my destination. Had to have so much paperwork to even rent the car...never again!
