SUV Rentals in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

I am having trouble getting a refund from Sixt. I may have to sue them. No phone number to call. No response to emails. No customer service.

Alex was very helpful. I appreciate that he was willing to help. When I got into town I was supposed to pick up the car off site away from the airport which I wasn’t aware of. He was able to get me into a car at the airport which was a major convenience.

The car was brand new and nice, although I waited a long time as the staff had no sense of urgency and there were other staff standing around On the return they just sat and waived me to drive up to the rental office and I kept asking if someone was going to assist me. They 2 employees just sat talking to each other and finally called someone to check in the car.

The wait at airport and confusion over what vehicle's that are actually ready and available was less than ideal but I understand . The truck we rented had a very strong smell of marijuana smoke that never went away all week. Especially noticeable after truck sat in 100* sun and then you opened doors.

They refused to rent me a car because I only had a debit card … even though I told them they could authorize as much money on the card as they wanted

My flight arrived late and I came the next day to get my car. The Fort Lauderdale would not accept my insurance. They accept insurance from a small list of insurance companies. I have very good insurance which is accepted at all car rental places. I was being forced to buy liability insurance. Later, I came back and accepted that i will buy the liability insurance , i was refused any car since i had argued with them earlier saying that my insurance is good. I saw other customers being hassled in the same way. I later booked a rental car from another provider and had no issues at all.

This company is horrible!! Must be new. Really unorganized. Hours to wait. $2000 hold on credit cards for $75 dollar car.. must have certain insurance with certain companies. Really awful. Canceled and grabbed an uber

After an hour and a half wait in line they canceled on me because I didn’t have 300,000 property damage insurance cover which is insane and i refused to purchase their insurance for $40 a day (the car itself was $16 a day). Please check out their reviews on Yelp green motion is a huge scam!!!

The pick-up/drop-off system was good, but it was frustrating that the staff at pick-up were less than helpful. The staff made every effort to make themselves unavailable, and avoid any questions, simply directing me and other customers to the machines issuing the notes for picking up the car. The message to the customer was clear: "do not bother us, just read the instructions in the machine. If anything isn't clear, too bad for you". Extremely frustrating, when arriving tired from a long trip. I cannot imagine how an elderly person would be able to handle this poor service.

The counter Reps was excellent and professional and was actually listening and had a great sympathy. They say you always remember how someone makes you feel well She did that. Her name is Aura and the Black Man outside was also excellent. I have found my forever rental place.

Attendant at pick up, couldn't be bothered to to help in any way just wanted paper work signed and for us to leave.

Too much hidden cost. I paid 300$ + 80 at the desk and surprise $ 640 for an old mega car that i would't. All for 10 days. $ more than $ 1000. Too expnsive

This was a last minute rental because of flight cancelation. The agent was friendly and helpful, the pickup and drop off were easy and uneventful. Through force of habit I typically rent from another company, Due to this experience I will rent from Avis in the future.

I became a Gold member in order to avoid lines and people. I was told I didn’t have to get in line just look at the screen for my name. My name wasn’t in the screen so I had to make a line. They finally tell me the exact location of my car. I get to it and I see a car that does not match what I rented. I asked two different workers there what do I do. Both of them tell me to just take the car. I explained to them I just arrived from a long flight and I have a baby. I do not want to be back and forth so please confirm. They both tell me just take it, not a problem. When I am leaving parking lot, the manager tells me I have to get all my things out of the car and go to a different car. I explained to him what his two workers have said to me and how I had already put my baby’s car seat in. Main reason I wanted confirmation before. He gets mad and me and tells me to move out the car quickly. I found it rude and disrespectful for him to treat me that way after I wanted to avoid all that and become a gold member for what? Still issues came nothing was smooth. I had my family of five getting out in the middle of the exit, rearranging the stroller and bags again. They refused to give me my license until I switched cars, acting as if I would steal something? I never cared for the car I just wanted to get my family to the hotel. The treatment was unnecessary especially since I was the one making sure which car to take. Avoid!

Booked with you all for a different location then wasn’t “allowed” to drop off to my selection point. Had to cancel last day and was only given $15 back for loss of a whole last day. Hertz informed me I was not allowed to drop off car at airport with a lock box or drop keys somewhere. Then when I took car a day early to Hertz in Port Charlotte, the manager told me I actually could have dropped off key to Punta Gorda airport, which was my original plan. Lost lots of money including paying fir Uber rides because I no longer had rental car. Horrible experience

I loved that my reservation was honored. I was in and out and my family was comfortable. I was not happy that the vehicle was NOT cleaned. There were Cheerios everywhere. I guess the detailer did not move the seats and the smell was sweaty heat. Finally, I make it home and forgot that I left the house key on the car ring. We went straight backm maybe 45 minutes and the attendant told me that the car was gone and they did not know where it was. I was so upset, but thank God for Pierre (if I'm not mistaken) the Supervisor who got on his cart and search the floors and found my key in the car that was indeed in the building. This encounter took 1 whole hour. Other than that this would have been the perfect rental experience. Life happens. I would still re-book.

Car was extremely dirty. Paid way too much compared to other sites. Was charged additional fees without being told. Put reservation under my name and wasn’t able to change to my husbands name. I do not drive in the USA. Again paid extra. Terrible customer service when I called to rectify charges. Never again!

I had booked for a suberban with my family of 5 and they handed me a nissan rogue at the same price claiming that there was more but at the same price as a subwrban without wanting to compensate me…shame on you!!
