The pick-up/drop-off system was good, but it was frustrating that the staff at pick-up were less than helpful. The staff made every effort to make themselves unavailable, and avoid any questions, simply directing me and other customers to the machines issuing the notes for picking up the car. The message to the customer was clear: "do not bother us, just read the instructions in the machine. If anything isn't clear, too bad for you". Extremely frustrating, when arriving tired from a long trip. I cannot imagine how an elderly person would be able to handle this poor service.

The counter Reps was excellent and professional and was actually listening and had a great sympathy. They say you always remember how someone makes you feel well She did that. Her name is Aura and the Black Man outside was also excellent. I have found my forever rental place.

I became a Gold member in order to avoid lines and people. I was told I didn’t have to get in line just look at the screen for my name. My name wasn’t in the screen so I had to make a line. They finally tell me the exact location of my car. I get to it and I see a car that does not match what I rented. I asked two different workers there what do I do. Both of them tell me to just take the car. I explained to them I just arrived from a long flight and I have a baby. I do not want to be back and forth so please confirm. They both tell me just take it, not a problem. When I am leaving parking lot, the manager tells me I have to get all my things out of the car and go to a different car. I explained to him what his two workers have said to me and how I had already put my baby’s car seat in. Main reason I wanted confirmation before. He gets mad and me and tells me to move out the car quickly. I found it rude and disrespectful for him to treat me that way after I wanted to avoid all that and become a gold member for what? Still issues came nothing was smooth. I had my family of five getting out in the middle of the exit, rearranging the stroller and bags again. They refused to give me my license until I switched cars, acting as if I would steal something? I never cared for the car I just wanted to get my family to the hotel. The treatment was unnecessary especially since I was the one making sure which car to take. Avoid!

My wife picked up the rental and accidentally purchased cdw insurance. I called and could not get through to a human. The office where it was picked up did not answer the phone. I stopped in a different office and asked to remove the cdw for the remainder of the trip and was told that could only be done at the original pickup location, which is ludicrous.

The pickup location given was not a Hertz rental car, I had to call and lucky they switched my reservation. After getting the car out of the garage I realized the car was dirty inside, the radio volume didn't work properly.

The wait at airport and confusion over what vehicle's that are actually ready and available was less than ideal but I understand . The truck we rented had a very strong smell of marijuana smoke that never went away all week. Especially noticeable after truck sat in 100* sun and then you opened doors.

This was the first time we rented a Tesla and we requested if someone could give some explanations, the person that they assigned to us was not helpful, had no patience and apparently knew very little about the car. Regarding where to charge the car, was another problem, as no one explained that we could only charged in a Tesla Super charge station. Only after seaching in the internet we find out that regular station does not have an adaptor for Tesla and the one in car did not fit in the regular charge station.

Aweful experience. Never again. Arrived at airport and there were two employees behind the desk, only one actually processing people. Over 50 people waiting in line and one employee announces it will be up to a 3 hour wait for a car after getting processed. Few minutes goes by and another announcement that it will be 6 hours before getting a car. Asked about my car that I already prepaid for and I was told to get an Uber to a hotel and come back later.

First and last time I rent with Dollar. I have no idea if it was Fort Lauderdale, but I had to stand in line for 2 hrs to get to the counter. Over 150 people on line and only 3 clerks, RIDICULOUS!. And once you get to the counter, another 2 hrs waiting to get the car!. I stand on line at 12:36pm. Got to the counter at 2:36 pm and finally I got my car at 4:37pm!! Ahhhhh!

The service was great at the front desk. Professional and fast. My reservation unfortunately expired since my flight was delayed so I ended up renting a more expensive car. I wish ACE would check the flight delay and adjust the reservation accordingly. Other than that the service was very good. Would rent again.

I was charged for an insurance that I did not want . At the time of rental I was told is part of the CDW but when I looked at my rental agreement I was charged for $5.99 a day for PAC! When called the counter the agent lied to me and said it’s part of the insurance! I asked what is PAC stands for and he just said again: it is part of your insurance! After the 4th time asking he said it is personal accidental coverage, which I declined and asked for to be removed from my rental agreement.

My reservation was cancelled by the time I got to Florida. They did not have car for the previous cancelled reservation and they wanted to charge about 700 for a bigger car.. this is very disturbing the way this car rentals do business in Florida. I would not do any reservation with this company.

When I picked the car up the tire pressure light was on. I informed the lot attendant about the issue. He took the car and returned and said the problem was resolved. Well on our way to our destination the tire light came back on while we were on the freeway. The tire was totally flat. So I was going to put the spare tire on but no spare tire and no inflator nothing. Please check your rental car to make sure these items are there.

The line to pickup the car was very long and slow moving and as soon as we got to the front we figured out why. No one was happy with their car and everyone was coming back and trying to switch. We were given a much smaller suv than advertised and told there were no other options. The car didn’t fit all of our suitcases in the trunk so we had to make do with sitting cross cross apple sauce and suitcases at our feet and between the back passengers. The car was also not mechanically sound. A strange noise when running and touchy/squeaky brakes. Ace also added on a $60 fee that was not advertised. I will NEVER usr ace again. It would be well worth it to book a more reputable company and probably the same cost after their extra fees.

The first car I got the check engine light came on so I had to return it. The second car I got shook violently after 60mph (very dangerous to be on the road). The third and final car smelled like cigarette smoke so badly that an asthmatic passenger couldn’t ride in the car. Then to make it worse my flight got canceled and I was able to get a new flight from a different airport but ACE wouldn’t wave the fee for drop off at a different location. EVEN AFTER ALL THE BAD AND DANGEROUS VEHICLES!! So no I will never give ACE anymore of my money and I have proof of all the issues.

Don't understand the need for a $200 drop-off fee for dropping the car at Ft. Myers airport (picked up in Ft. Lauderdale). Seems excessive! After all, all the cars belong to Enterprise. Even if you had a driver bringing the car back to Ft. Lauderdale, $200 is a rip-off.

This was a last minute rental because of flight cancelation. The agent was friendly and helpful, the pickup and drop off were easy and uneventful. Through force of habit I typically rent from another company, Due to this experience I will rent from Avis in the future.

When we arrived at the airport two hours late at 2am, we went to Avis and there was a line with 80-100 people in it and ONLY ONE PERSON BEHIND THE DESK. After waiting for an hour and only moving ahead by 10 people, we took an Uber to Orlando for $500.
