I prepaid for a 3 day rental before I left my home airport. Flight was delayed for 2 hours due to weather. Arrived to rental car center and the Payless office. I was 4th in line for one person working the counter. Took 30 minutes to get to the counter while I watched and listened to Payless employee engage in conversation completely unrelating to renting a car with everyone. When I got the opportunity to speak with him, he informed me that my reservation had expired because I was more than 2 hours late. Ummm, what? I prepaid. Showed him my emailed receipt. He said he would only help me if I was nice. Finally found me a downgraded car. Offered to cover my fuel when he became aware that he spoke out of turn. Miserable experience. I will never use Payless again.

It was a simple process. Picked up at a busy time of day and only 1 person was working. Would've been nice to have 2 employees min to help the flow.

Long, it very friendly check-in process. Very low-end car. No $$ value proposition at all. Kinda really disliked the whole “Payless” experience - next time, I’ll be okay to PayMore. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤨
