We were given an EV Tesla Model 3 with no instruction on how to charge and the limited types of chargers available (level 2) long term charging. This was unacceptable to us and put a damper on our whole vacation wondering if we would have enough charge to get anywhere. We had to take time away from our vacation to return that car and exchange it for a gas powered car. At the time of the exchange your customer service guy said Maui wasn’t set up very well yet for EV’s which we had to agree. I must commend him for a very smooth car exchange…very good service!
Like: Free upgrade Dislike: Slow service and had to wait 40 minutes for our car to be ready.
The pick up was HORRIBLE. We went to “the other side of the railing” to pick up our car. I thought that it would be ready for us. NO! about 18-20 people were also waiting. After about 40 minutes our car arrived. No instructions, nothing. It just was placed in one of the spots in front of us with the keys in it. Very “contactless” for sure. We wanted a compact car. We got a Chevy Camaro convertible! 😞 Poor visibility, difficult to get in & out of. Gas guzzler too, which was our loss. Perhaps most folks would be happy with this car over a compact, which we ordered. They didn’t even ask if it would be ok, or have another option for us. Budget can & should do better.
The Car was in good condition, nice and clean. Customer service was terrible and slow. We had to wait over an hour just get a vehicle. I will never use Payless or Budget again.
It was an excellent rental experience!
