Car rentals at Austin Bergstrom Airport

Very pleasant and efficient desk agent; pick up agent was friendly and nice!!

Really easy! However it would have been nice if the guy at the Austin car lot was more knowledgeable about how to hook up my cell phone to blue tooth. Dont forget to sign up at rentalradar.com for price drops. Every time rates went down, I made a modified my reservation. Saved over $225 in the course of 4 months by paying attention to rate drops.

Could not rent car due to no credit card

Pick up took an hour due to long line and only one agent on duty

There was unapproved "upsale" charges on my invoice and have not heard back from support in 24Hrs.

Front left tire required air a few times over a couple of days. Tires had no valve stem caps.

Were concerned that no walk-around to review any car dings occurred before leaving the rental lot (especially because we saw a small crack in windshield), and no walk-around occurred after return of the car either. We assume it’s just not an issue.

Final Receipt not clear on charges

The staff and customer service were fine, but my car ended up not having any window washer fluid and the A/C was completely broke. Obviously neither were identified until I needed them.

Waited in line for an Hour to be told we needed to go upstairs After a 2+ hour wait to have a shuttle pick us up at South Terminal..Not happy about losing 3 hours

Pickup and drop off were easy as they could be. Signs entering the Austin airport could have been more helpful when returning the car. We had to u-turn twice to get to the right place. That's not the fault of the rental car agencies. The car was clean and we were given a thorough walk around before pulling off. It drove and behaved beautifully. We returned the car two days early and there were no questions and our final charge was adjusted accordingly.

Stood in line for 45 minutes to get my car. Needed more people working check-in

I was double charged - first online then again in person. Still have not been able to get my refund.

Pick up was frustrating. Went to the Dollar counter to find a sign that said go to Hertz counter. Waited in a long line. Time consuming.

At drop off, they failed to scan in the vehicle correctly. I received notification that they were charging me for extra days. It took over 45 minutes to straighten out over the phone with a customer service agent .

Any communication that no human being from Avis would be available at 2:30 am (due to Allegiant Airlines delays) would have been a big first step in customer service! But, in these useless, almost careless days of anyone giving a flip about anything and about anybody, it’s all very understandable.

Computers were slow at Check in

Easirent was not at airport. It’s halfway across Austin. I abandoned the car pickup and got an UBER to our airBnB instead. When I went to pick up the car later on my second Uber I found it in an industrial park area, which wasn’t terribly concerning, but it had a couple red flags. Just not a place I would want to bring my family. Finally when I arrived the scene was utter chaos. I saw an employee walking around looking for a car clicking the key unlock to locate it while dozens of customers looked destitute and as frustrated as I was with the experience of not finding their car at the airport. As I walked inside I found a waiting area full of crying children and families waiting for cars and a line of the drivers about 8 deep with no one at the counter answering questions. It was then that the same employee from the parking lot walked back in and stepped behind the desk to continue what sounded like a frustrated conversation of a desperate customer to just take the quickest option to get a car and leave. After trying to ask the sole employee what the odds of getting my car in the next hour or two was I decided that I wasn’t prepared to do business with this company and ordered my return Uber to the airBnB and ordered a Turo car for the rest of our visit with a brilliant experience. Hugely disappointing overall. Would not recommend. Please avoid. I haven’t chased down the couple hundred of dollars that we lost on the reservation and not getting a car yet, but I’m not holding my breath.

Easirent charged me for insurance even though I purchased insurance while I was booking and I had prepaid for it.
