Within the first 15 miles I had to stop to fill up the tire that was low and had to do it two more times on the trip. Was surprised that the tires were not checked before loaning the car out. This was quite a nuisance

Reserved car weeks in advance. Received confirmation of reservation. Received second confirmation the day of the rental. Arrived at rental desk to be told that AVIS had overbooked and there are zero cars available. While we waited for an Uber, I overheard several people receive the same bad news. The desk agent said she had told over 100 people that day "no car is available". It was my assumption that AVIS has the ability to know how many cars they own and how many have been reserved. For the AVIS management to treat their customers and employees this way is completely unacceptable. Their lack of concern for customers caused us transportation problems for the entire weekend. Can you imagine the poor employee that had to take abuse from irate customers for 8-hours. I hope she can find a better job soon. My company and I will avoid AVIS at all cost and I will make sure that everyone who asks hears this story. It's time that business leaders are held responsible for their decisions and stop using Covid as an excuse for everything. AVIS needs to do better or have new leadership. Mr. Ferraro and his team should be embarrassed...but probably are not.

They didnt have my vehicle and wouldnt just upgrade they wanted to charge. Also horrible cutomer service. I had to cancel and rebook through Kayak for an 80+ additional cost.

Our rental was given away, since we were late due to a flight delay. The staff told us we had to call the main hertz office to start a refund and even though they had cars on the lot said they couldn’t help us. One was even on the phone and told another couple she leaves in 1 house so they only had 15 minutes to figure out what they needed before she has other things to do. When we checked online those cars were still available. We are now going through the refund process and went with another rental car service who were a 1000% better!

No options for after hours drop-off at return location. Was only 30 minutes late and Hertz charged me an additional $750 (!!!) to drop off the vehicle at another location. Will never give them another dollar.

Hertz allwed me to book a rental without actually having availability and no courteosy call to let me know this until I called them less than 24 hours before pick up to confirm my rental did they break the news to me I actually had no rental due to none available. Ruined my plans horribly that weekend.
