Everything is fine, they give me a new hybrid van which is great, but the GPS in that new car have a very outdated version, many popular places such as Furano Marche , either search by name or phone number is “not available” . I have to use my cellphone’s Google map.

Fast pick up. Great little car and good on fuel. It would have been nice for the agent to tell us about the ECT in the vehicle for tolls. I know it's tough when you don't speak the mutual language so I think having a quick write up on it in English would be beneficial.

Easy process to check in, there was a desk right out side of the arrives gate that a phone was on, called them and they sent a van to pick us up and take us to the rental store. Very friendly staff and everything was ready for us. Same when we returned the vehicle, they gave us a ride back to the airport terminal.

Nippon rental handles everything. Japanese quality customer service so no issues at all. Clean and perfect condition vehicles. Highly recommend renting a car in Kyoto. Ample parking at all tourist attractions for a few. Parking is rarely free in Japan. However worth it.

Alamo desk very hard to find ...its handled by Nippon Rental Car...that was not clear on reservation form and nobody at airport heard of Alamo. A kind employee from another rental car agency showed me where to go. Also on web I booked Alamo because it was promised that i could pick up car right at airport and not take shuttle bus 10 minutes away. Thats not true...had to wait and take shuttle. So no merit to book Alamo,,,better to go with well known Japanese car rental firms
The staff in the office (Ms. Fujiyoshi) was very kind and helpful. It had been more than five years for me to be back in Japan. I was tense (because of stressful events with an airline company before I got there) when I got to the office. Her way to talk calmed me down and helped me ready to start driving on unfamiliar, rainy and dark roads. Thank you very much, Ms. Fujiyoshi!
