They were closed at 6pm on a Saturday at the airport. I spent over an hour trying to find another car to rent, to no avail and ended up having to book a room at a hotel for the night. Not happy.

Jon, who was working at Hertz actually, was amazingly helpful and kind to me when I got in late. He is one of the most friendly people I’ve dealt with in my many years of traveling for work. I don’t want him to leave that desk, as he’s so wonderful at dealing with customers, but that man deserves a promotion. And if not that, a raise. The lady at the MKE counter told me there were no cars and she was closed, but I was able to get a reservation online, so she then said “I told you we didn’t have any cars, why did you do that…just a minute, I’ll ask my boss” I waited about another 15 min and then she said into the phone “oh great, it’s a one way”. She then said “well, I guess I have to give you this car” So I said, “oh, I’m sorry, you don’t sound happy” and she said, “well I’m losing a car ma’am”. I did finally get a car-but it took forever and she tried to make me feel bad for renting a car!
Waited in line for over an hour. Car was dirty. Very underwhelming experience.

We paid for a car seat and they gave us a booster seat. We had to wait in line for 20 min to get the wrong car seat and they still charged us the full amount.

when I initially picked up my one month rental from downtown Milwaukee, it turned out that one of the tires had been leaking air, and had not been checked by this location. This could be confirmed by the fact that it was leaking just over one pound of pressure/day--which I determined after a few days into the rental--and was already at 25 lbs when I arrived at my destination just 80 miles away on my first day of the rental.

Was given a defective vehicle and did not have the opportunity to exchange it. Informed Hertz of the problem and they did nothing to remediate the situation.

It was a horrible experience. I needed the rental for a wedding and hertz cancelled right before I was picking up the vehicle. I was told they didn’t have any cars which was a huge inconvenience for me.

I pre-paid the full car and when I went to the counter they told me, literally: "We will no the honoring your reservation" And that's it, no money back, no car, no service. Truly the worst car rental I have ever experienced. I still don't have my money back.

I was unable to rent the car that I ordered from kayak through hertz. The location was closed on the day of my confirmed rental. I had to rent from a different location. Hertz would not let my kayak purchase be applied to that rental. Please refund me my money

Hertz texted me two days prior to picking up the car. They had run out of cars and the best they could promise me was to put me on a wait list. I had no further contact with them. When I tried to call the local number, I was repeatedly disconnected. I had to go to Budget for a car. I hope that I am not charged for this car that never was!
I work in hospitality and legit have never seen such racial profiling. The old white ladies at every counter and agency including Alamo are all programmed to give non white customers a hassle. I sat and saw white after white in and out within seconds. Speaks to the culture of oak creek, Gen Mitchell airport, and its predominately white staff! Black travelers and renters be advised that the agents here will profile you and give you a hard time and steeper soft holds on your cc. Do better!

The vehicle originally offered had no back seats. Then the alternate vehicle did not have working A/C. However the customer service experience was excellent!

It was great! The staff was extremely busy and I observed them taking care of all who waited professionally and efficiently. They had a couple of tough situations and demands too! Return process was easy and quick too.
They called me at 8am and said they dis not have a vehicle for me. When they finally got one around 11am i had to take it home and spend 30 min cleaning it. When i took it back they tried to say i had a pet in it as it had 4 pieces of pet hair in it!!

Staff is first class. I’m making this the go to for my rental needs. Will recommend this store on Val Phillips in downtown Mke to my plethora of traveling clients and guest. The airport location should be trained by this staff. Airport staff are very rude and unhelpful.

If you’re making reservations through Kayak/or third party, don’t pay for their liability / collision coverage (Allianz Global Assistance) and wait to purchase those additional add-on’s when you pick up your rental! When I checked in at Avis to get my rental I was told the $11 I spent for the Allianz’s Global Assistance liability / collision wouldn’t cover the rental car if an accident / damage occurred and i needed to buy Avis liability coverage for an additional $33.
