Car was very clean and did not smell badly. Very impressed with Hertz on this trip.
The Hertz staff was pretty disorganized. Pick-up took 45 minutes or more. I was not asked if I wanted to pre-purchase gas but was charged for it, even though I filled the tank before returning. Probably my fault because I did not read the Rental Record before I filled up but I rarely request pre-purchase.
my daily rate was double to what was listed on their website after i had booked
The line at the airport to pick up was long with one person working. Customer at front of line couldn’t get any of his credit cards to work. Took forever. I wanted to add my husband as a driver and was told it was $13/day extra. Didn’t want the extra charge so I had to do all the driving. We were told the wrong car to go to and it didn’t match our paperwork so it took more time getting it straightened out and more time when we tried to get out.
For once I appreciated the upsell to a jeep. It made our trip into the mountains much easier.
