I tried to cancel my reservation 12 hours before pickup, and instead of being charged 5% fee, (which was around $6.50) was charged over $80. I feel this is horrible Custer service. My company uses a high number of rental cars every year. It's a shame we will no longer use Hertz.
A very efficient at the counter and the car was ready and cleaned as promised. Both check in and the return or handled incredibly efficiently and we were in an out without any hesitation. Hertz did an amazing job. Thanks
Cancellation policy is not good in our COVID realities.
My opinion is that Hertz acknowledged my cancellation request over a month ago and they charged me a cancellation fee. Not happy about the cancel fee, but that is a cost of doing business in these modern times. What upsets me the most is KAYAK's approach to cancellations. They were notified via Hertz of the cancellation, Yet, they insisted on reminding me of my upcoming trip, rental, and now requesting feedback via survey for something that never took place. This will probably be the last time I use KAYAK because of this severe lack of service from them. It plainly says on the KAYAK site that we must contact Hertz direct to cancel. That is exactly what I did. KAYAK did not follow through from their end. Nor did they have a means for me to notify them of the cancellation. Instead, relying on Hertz to make that communication. Therefore, Hertz is okay, but KAYAK is poor at best.
Very efficient. Very friendly staff.
