Didn’t have the car we reserved. Car we got didn’t work.
Terrible experience with Budget Car Rental. I will never consider using them again. Due to staffing issues, they had a 90 minute line at SLC. I waited for 30 minutes before leaving the line and finding a car with another company. I tried to call Budget’s customer service multiple times and even the day before on something else. Anytime you feel they are just about to connect, the line disconnects. Terrible company. Clearly have no interest in their customers.
Budget was not flexible when our flight was delayed. We were assured that our reservation was good for 24 hours. When we went to pick the car up the next morning (12 hours later) we were told that they did not have a car for us and made no effort to help us find another. We were basically stranded.
Car was dirty inside and out. They charged me twice what I was quoted at pickup. When I dropped it off in Great Falls the Budget desk literally told me to check it in myself with SLC because there was some issue with SLC checkouts. I couldn’t get through to a real person on the phone for an hour and no one at Budget had any idea what was going on. Never using them again.
Car came with a tire that was leaking and I had to get it fixed. They also charged me $50 more than agreed upon saying it was in the computer and they couldn’t change it even though I had a print out of the quote with me.
