BMW car rentals in San Jose

Price was better than competitors, easy and fast pickup, clean and very nice, new car, easy drop off.

Just needed a little more explanation on charges since I bought insurance through kayak and it seems like they charge me again. Also, it would be nice if the counter people are aware of the type of car that is in inventory. That is, know the features. I upgraded since I was told there is apple car play in the car so I can use the GPS. Apparently, there isn't.

Quite roomy Soul Kia. Liked that I could put down the back seats and carry a bunch of goodies to a wedding site.

Enterprise is the worst company ever. I tried to rent 2 cars in one location. At least after rent confirmation I got a call that they have no such cars. On another location I've been told that they don't have such car and it is not their problem. I lost time and money to get there, but managers just locked at their office. Enterprise does not exist for me anymore.

The wait was an hour and a half.

This was worst rental car experience I've ever had. I would never use Dollar again and I will not rent a car through Kayak again. First, they said they didn't have a car. Then, they tried to double charge me when I had already paid upfront. They wouldn't let me pay the deposit using debit card, and even after I told them I paid for the car in advance, they charged me an additional $38 for some type of fee, so I paid nearly $100 to rent a compact vehicle for 1 day! They also made me wait over an hour for a vehicle and I was not the only one! Look online: All the reviews are horrible! They tried to say people stole the cars! Obvious lie! There is security to get in and out of there. No way. Absolute nightmare! Don't use this company, and don't use kayak. I paid for the car upfront for a reason. I should've only had to pay a deposit in addition.

We received are scheduled pick up and hour late and they didn’t even have the vehicle we rental that was more fuel economical

We had a mixup with a rental car, my fault, and it left us scrambling to find a rental car same day for a 11 day trip. We booked while we were on the plane getting ready to leave for our destination. When we arrived they didn’t have the intermediate size suv we booked, so they offered us a luxury suv, or a mini van. We were very happy to have the van and it turned out great for the whole trip. Nice van, nice upgrade.

Service was great. Our car was upgraded at no additional cost when the style we booked was no longer available. Car was in excellent condition and I enjoyed driving it. Best part of the rental experience was that there was almost no wait in line to check in for the rental and to return our car. Car return experience was great also. Only down side was the lack of road signs to direct us to the rental return area (all rentals, not just Sixt) at San Jose Airport. It was kind of confusing and my google maps directions were of limited value as well.

Check out was extremely slow and instructions were not clear at all. We waited an hour to get our car

Not their fault, the location is not at the airport you take an uber/taxi to it (short ride $27 Uber) I knew this, just forgot. You can drop the car off at the airport rental for an extra $25 though. We had a Toyota Camry it was very comfortable and easy on the wallet with gas prices the way they are.

Lengthy pick up process. Would be good to have parking nearby for those driving to collect a rental. A lot of hidden costs

The lady at the pickup was very unhelpful for the insurance options. She made us worried although we have coverage. We almost done double insurance with charging $51 per day

This was my first time renting a car, and besides the wait to pick up a car at the beginning, I had a very easy time as a first time car renter. Customer service was very nice at pickup and drop off and for the car I got, the price was very reasonable.

My reservation was for a "dealer's choice" vehicle, which at other rental agencies means compact or better. What they gave me was a tiny Chevy which could only hold one suitcase in the back and one on the back seat. But the problem with this car was that the driver's seat could not be adjusted up far enough for me to see over the dash. When I returned to the counter I was told that "dealer's choice" for Hertz means economy size only, and that was the only economy car left. He offered to put me into a "compact" size vehicle, but for more money. Since it was unsafe for me to drive the original vehicle I had no choice but to pay the extra money. I feel like I was totally screwed over and would probably never rent from Hertz again.

The car we picked up was three years old and had over 40k on it. We had to change cars during our rental because the original car had issues (tire pressure alert wouldn't turn off, bad windshield wipers, etc.). Obviously, the car wasn't maintained properly!

I never actually ended up getting the car. I landed at the airport and was headed towards the rental car pick up area and I got a call from Hertz 5 minutes before scheduled pick up time saying they were overbooked and don’t actually have a car available for me. I was stranded at the airport for hours before I could find a different rental car. There was no apology no follow up nor was there any other alternative offered. Will never book through kayak or hertz again. Worst experience ever to be stranded at the airport.
