They just refused to give me a car. Fully booked they said. Very unreliable business

The car was fine and exactly as promised once we received it. It took them an hour to get us a car. They only have one person working so if they are getting a car, the desk is completely unmanned. When we returned the car, no one was there to take the keys. I ended up snapping a pic of my keys and return details and leaving it on the desk, as I needed to catch my flight. Be careful of the agreed rate when you prebook vs what they try to charge. Needed a couple corrections.

We mixed up timezones, so we arrived an hour later than we said we would and they had already given our car to someone else and didn't have any other cars for us. We had to find another company at the last minute and pay a lot more.

I could not pick-up my car because the agency closed before regular open hours, no one informed us. Thus unforcasted taxi to pay

Avoid Payless. Upon arrival we were bluntly told they ‘had no cars’ ‘were overbooked and could not do anything for us’ When reminded of their responsibility to honor the reservation the representative gruffly told us that they could not hire from another company. There we were stranded at the airport with kids. Very unprofessional, very rude, and unfortunately quite in character. We had to find an alternative rental on our own for double the price.
