Arrived at rental counter and it was closed said moved to budget closed budget moved to Avis line was 30 plus deep. Took 45 minutes then offered a 12 passenger van. I reserved a Kia Rio or similar. 12 passenger van is not similar to a Kia Rio. Then offered a full size truck. That was all they had. I was there for my mother’s 82nd birthday. Can not get her in a high off the ground full size truck. Forced to borrow a vehicle to get her around. What happened is us late arrival people at the airport were left with the undisirable vehicles. Not a good rental experience
Unfortunately I never got my rental. Arrived when I was suppose to pick up in Austin TX. They were having system problems. Waited in line for hours. Missed my appointment. Ended up having to stay the night in TX and reschedule for next day. Called to try and get refund or credit, nothing they can do. Very poor service. I get it isn’t their fault but there were 200+ people in the same boat. Many of us walked away. Forgoing our rentals. The cars never left, yet the company keeps our money. Does that seem right, I don’t think so regardless of a “non-cancellation reservation” or not. Will steer clear from them in future and recommend you do the same. Disappointing.
I liked that it was a car that got me from A to B didn't like - front desk person not wearing his mask properly, trying to trick me into buying a toll tag I didn't need. Next I hated all the trash I found in the car and the rear passenger door didn't open from the inside. Would never use kayak or payless again
Waited in Avis line for 1.5 hours for car. Then returning charged for full gas charge when I filled it.
I usually use Hertz and Payless was fantastic. Great experience.
