First, I did not receive any notification that I would need to take a bus to a parking garage to get a shuttle to the rental place and had to ask about 5 people at the airport before someone knew where I needed to go. Second - the shuttle took us to a filthy, run down building in a very sketchy neighborhood, which made me VERY nervous as a woman traveling alone. Third - there was no notification of any kind that you would be required to purchase liability insurance for $30 per day and the people behind the desk were clearly used to gouging customers like that because they simply asked people whether or not they wanted the car. If you did, you have to get the insurance - AFTER you've taken a bus and a shuttle to get there and paid for the rental and I even bought the insurance while I was booking the car, but it apparently did not include liability. If you don't want to buy the insurance, I guess you're supposed to take the shuttle back to the parking garage, take the bus back to the airport, and go to a legit rental place where they may or may not have any cars and where you'll probably have to pay a premium because it's last minute. AFTER you've already paid for a car! The end result is that I probably paid more for the rental, the insurance I purchased online, and the insurance I was forced to buy if I wanted to drive the rental I'd already paid them for than I would have if I'd just gone with a legit rental company in the first place. Live and learn I guess, but this was definitely not what I was expecting. TERRIBLE experience and didn't save any money by going with a low price rental company.
