“Computer wasn’t working” when we arrived. They sent us to enterprise to print and then come back. After 30min of confusion they then mentioned that although my reservation was for a Luxury SUV, they car they had was a std sedan. I walked 10 ft to Hertz counter and had a car in 8 min.

Prices for rentals are through the roof. Deposit on top of reservation was unbelievably high. Counter experience included an agent that seemed to think that these prices were absolutely normal and $1000 (deposit included) was normal for a 4 day rental Also, Mazda car we rented took us 4 days to figure out instrument cluster. Highly dissappointed

They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. All they care about is the money, we never actually used the car but they kept our money…do not rent from this company, you will be very disappointed.

MAJOR PROBLEM!! After finally reaching a NON English speaking person that I couldn't understand on the phone, made a reservation for a car at the Airport Location in Lexington KY for 8AM the next morning. Arrived and was refused the car b/c I didn't have a CREDIT card. Wasn't advised of this when reserving. THEN was charged a $50 NO SHOW FEE and was still CHARGED for the Car! Went through 15 automated options and 7 annoying folk to request refund and was advised refund would not take place until car was returned??!! WHAT CAR??!! Had to stop payment through my Bank! Never reached a Live ENGLISH Speaking person on the Phone! That Automated Nonsense is ABSOLUTELY Annoying! The next day, I wish I could remember his name, in the Lexington Downtown Office called as he promised he would when a car became available and went AB0VE and BEYOND with OUTSTANDING Customer Service to get me on my way!!!

Took the vehicle to the Asheville, Hertz rental car return location at 9 AM. When the store opened no one was there I waited two hours and then had to leave had to pay a shuttle driver to return the keys later that day. In addition, the invoice I received included five days rental cost for one day rental. In addition, I spent two hours hours on the phone trying to contact someone at Hertz for information total run around Totally unacceptable I look forward to hearing from Hertz to resolve these issues and concerns. My rental contract number is 182634104

Truly, HERTZ IS THE BEST car rental company. I have rented from Budget, Dollar, National and my experience has been disastrous. With the only exception of Enterprise which has been decent. You pay a little more with Hertz but the way they treat you, trust you, WOW! In and out in a flash and also better quality cars. With the cheaper companies you pay less (in many cases a little less) but the lines, the problems the filling up forms, etc makes it Not Worth it!

We rented a car. The guy gave us a car with bald tires and 65,000 miles on it. When we said we weren’t taking that because it was unsafe he said well all I have are vans that haven’t been cleaned, but said pick one out. My husband picked one and then the guy started rudely asking why he wanted that one?? Then another couple had just reserved a car online and came right over and he didn’t have a car for them, but told them they could take the one he was going to give us and that guy said he was not taking the one with bald tires either. Unbelievable!!

i booked a camry for $100 one day and the pick up was in lexington and the drop off in Columbus. i had to wait long time for the agent because there was no one in the front desk. then, he came and told me we had only a truck car availavle.( note that before i came to the branch, i made a call to AVIS to confirm the availability, and they told me it is available!) i was force to take the truck, so i can finsh my work at columbus. i had a low back pain and the truck was not comfortable. also, after i made the drop off by one day, i got an email form AVIS with the receipt. i was shocked from the charged price! it was $250 for one day trip! the original price was $100. i contacted the and did not get any explination about the extra charge

Avis was a great disappointment! The bus I booked and confirmed severally through phone calls was said to be unavailable when I went to pick up. We were all set for the trip and suddenly no bus. I have called AVIS and they confirmed availability even a day to pick up. They just messed up our travel plans

Got a call early in the morning that there were no cars available for me to use. Was panicked. Called to confirm that I had heard the message correctly. Went to counter anyway, and they guy working (different than worker I had talked to earlier) couldn’t have been any nicer and said of course we have some cars available. Not sure what the issue was but I had several hours of panic trying for plan B and finding another car to rent on last minute notice that was affordable
