Person at pickup tried their best to upsell me their insurance coverage. I wouldn’t take it and their demeanor changed pretty quickly. There was a small fee that wasn’t disclosed when I booked the vehicle but it wasn’t much. Vehicle had plenty of dings and scratches and the trunk was not aligned properly. When I pointed this all out, the attendant said they were “economy cars” and we get what we paid for. True, I guess. The windshield was extremely dirty inside. So much so, I had to buy glass cleaner and clean it myself to feel safe driving it. There was a film of some sort of substance on it. Air conditioner was struggling and could barely stave off the heat. Not cold at all but maybe cool-ish. Brakes squealed like a stuck pig from the moment I pulled out of the lot. Couldn’t help but laugh at how obnoxious they sounded. Shocks weren’t the best, you could really feel the speed bumps no matter how slow you went. There was also a slight wobble at highway speeds but I didn’t have the time to go back and return for another vehicle. Economy vehicle indeed. Returned the vehicle an hour before scheduled to. No trash inside, maybe a little sand but nothing close to excessive. It IS Hawaii. Gas tank was full as I put gas in 2 blocks away. Passed what I assumed was the return inspection and received a receipt saying so. Fast forward 4 days later I get a mystery charge on my credit card for 89.75 from the company. No explanation, no email, no phone call. Pay the little extra and go somewhere else. Not worth the hassle.
