Pick up: It was hard to find the rental office. There could have been better directions to get there. We took a Grab to get to the office, rounded the airport and asked for directions a couple of times only to find out that we could have walked to the office from the arrival area. There was only one (harried) customer service person there to check people in and out and she was clearly overwhelmed! She eventually got everybody taken care of but not after a long wait. She was sweet and patient, though. We discovered after having driven the TOYOTA INNOVA for a couple of days that the front tires were balding. There was hardly any tread life in them. So we took the car to the shop to get at least one of the tires replaced with the spare, only to discover that the spare tire was also threadbare. We actually had to rent a different car to travel a farther distance because it had been raining and we were afraid we would lose traction on the road and get into an accident! So...we actually ended up paying more for transportation. That was disappointing. Dropping off: We were not informed that the car could be dropped off at a location closer to the hotel we were staying at. That would have been helpful information so we didn't have to fight Manila traffic to return the car on time. The same sweet lady was working then and she told us we could take the car back to the hotel and drop it off at the closer location but that would have meant fighting traffic again and perhaps getting lost looking for the place, so we declined. We told her we would take a Grab instead. There was another lady working during that time and she was gracious enough to book a ride for us. We appreciated that extra customer service. Overall, it was an ok experience. We would rent there again if necessary, but would be more mindful to check the condition of the car before driving it off. The car obviously needed maintenance. I have already mentioned the tires. The steering wheel also vibrated and the car pulled to the right, indicating much-needed alignment work.
