Pick up wasn’t very smooth, had to wait longer than expected.

The car booked wasn’t available they didn’t upgrade my can or give me any car Instead . the Agent’s were helpless, careless and so ignorant with me .

They changed my minivan to a full size V8 SUV. Making me pay more for gas.

Pick up and drop off service in both Ottawa and Downtown Toronto was great. Both members of staff were very helpful. It was quite expensive but the staff and ease of the process made it worth it. You don't usually get that level of service in my experience when renting cars.

I arrived at the rental location at Ottawa International Airport with a Quebec driver's license and an Ontario health card. The employee there told me that because I had a Quebec driver's license, I needed 3 photo IDs and 2 phone numbers to rent. This is ridiculous because I have used my Quebec license to rent cars from airports in Montreal, Toronto, and Boston without issue. There was also no warning about this before I arrived at the airport. This forced my partner to also take an Uber to the airport to bring my passport, and so we departed more than an hour late and spent extra money on transit to the airport. They also told us that because we left at 5 p.m. in stead of 4 p.m., we'd be able to return the car at 5 p.m. instead of 4 without extra charges. But the contract they sent still said a 4 p.m. return time.

The car wasn’t ready when we arrived but it was fine. The chap in the office was pretty good, got friendlier as we were there longer. He helped us out with our insurance and we were off. They offered to drive us back to the hotel after we returned the car but then reneged the offer and left us at a local Walmart. Not great …

Great staff car smelled a bit like cigarettes but I told staff who marked it down and apologized

I made the purchase on the Kayak website for 180.00 when picking up the car at Avis the amount charged was 380.00 ..... a real naughty thing. A real steal. As I was at the last minute to go to the airport, I could not rent the car elsewhere. I've been robbed...

Customer service was awesome and the car was clean and on time.

Just the location is terrible.

It should have been made clear that off site pick up was to avoid the Airport surtax. This was not a problem and solved by a short taxi ride.

The car was very clean and comfortable, rode very smoothly and quietly. I appreciated the fact that I did not have to return it to the downtown location but could leave it at the airport when I leave. Saves much time and effort when leaving on an early morning flight. The price quoted was very competitive. I will probably use Kayak again when I rent my next vehicle.
