The staff at the desk in Milan didn’t speak a word English and even when we tried to just give our name they referred us to call the call centre to check in and they relayed to the staff. It took forever and was bizarre we’ve never had this. Then the car booked wasn’t available and a suitable replacement wasn’t available. So we ended up having to cancel and go to another desk and pay more as a ‘walk-in’ to a different rental company.

As you know I ordered and paid in advance for a Compact Crossover with winter tyres.I arrived to pick up the car, gave all the papers (driving license etc)waited for the guy to process. He shows me from the window a Lancia Epyslon which is a tiny car without winter tyres and tells me that is my car. I explain whaT I oredered and showed him the reservation, and he tells me that is the only car he has ( he had 2 of them) and Hertz did not supply what I ordered. He asked me if I want to cancel, but firstly IO had already paid and God knows how when and if I would get my money back and secondly I needed a car. I dont know who is responsible for this fiasco, I believed that if I am getting a car from a reputable and large company such as Hertz they would honour the agreement. Unfortunately not so. At the end of the day I ordered via you guys and am expecting you to make good on this most unsatisfactory ordeal

The car was rented in Italy from Hertz at a competitive rate. The car size and model was as we expected. As a matter of fact, it was an upgrade to us, since it was a Hybrid model and we did not ask for it. This feature of course saved us gas. The car was new (only 987 km). It came with insurance coverage but no 3rd party damage and injury (the so-called collision coverage). We had purchased collision coverage through Kayak from home at very competitive rates. So we were fully covered. Returning the car was quick and easy. No issues to report.

The vehicle was great. The pickup experience was awful. Long-line and slow service. Drop off was equally terrible. Poor signage to find the drop off area and only 1 person to check you out .

I did not receive the car I ordered and paid for. I reserved a car that could fit 5 people and 4 suitcases. The example car was a Citroen C4– a car with a hatchback. This was essential to us because we had 4 people with 4 bags. The car we received was comically small and we could only fit 2 bags in the trunk (barely) and had to put a seat down and squeeze in like a clown car with bags on top of each person. When I returned to the counter to point out the discrepancy I was gaslit and told it was the car I ordered and only offered the alternative to pay for an suv.

1. They gave me half tank and I even gave full tank on return, still they charged me for fuel. 2. Pick and drop point at Malpensa Airport is not mentioned. 3. Support call was not supportive at all. Hertz and Dollar service is pathetic, I will never go for it again.

When I dropped off car, the guy could have been more helpful. I went to checkout and he just stood there without acknowledging me. I was of course eager to get to my flight. It is painful for me to stand and he had me stand there until I said something.

Hertz pick up was inexistent. There was no assistant phone line. Neither for pick up nor drop off. The 700€ deposit requirement was never mentioned prior to pick up day. Horrible experience overall

From pick up to drop off our experience with Dollar was wonderful! The staff - especially Debbie - were friendly, warm, and efficient. I would recommend Dollar at Linate Airport with 100% enthusiasm!

The pick up at airport was fine. The car had some issues in first gear and made it a bit scary when you needed to accelerate quickly, it had a major lag. But the biggest issue was the return location. It was completely innacurate address in Bruneck. I wandered around on foot in the peak heat of the day trying to find it. Asking multiple people for directions. They need to update this, it really ruined the whole experience. It took over an hour to find and return the car.

The line was so long and understaffed I walked over to another car rental and had keys in five minutes. Got a nicer car for cheaper too. My family laughed as we got to our destination 45 minutes later that we would still be waiting in the rental line. No joke! We waited 30 minutes. Probably would have been another hour at least before we would speak to someone.

Beware… AVIS will NOT guarantee your rental. I had a van reservation and planned all my trip with this van. To my surprise they DID NOT honor the reservation and ruined my travel plans… Their solution? NOTHING… they simply said, “We can’t do anything about it, go to the airport office and see what you can get.” Just like that… I lost money on my hotel reservations and travel plans. I would NOT trust them ever again.

we were given a much smaller car than we asked for. when we asked them for a car the size we ordered and we were told take it or leave thats all they had. they made no effort to at all to find us another car. we asked for a refund, they told us to go upstairs as they couldn't do it from their office, well, imsure you can guess what happened because nobody seemed to know what they were doing. so no refund and a most horrible start to our vacation. so we ended up paying for a car we didn’t have .
