The staff at the Dollar location in Queen Alia Airport (Amman - Jordan) are very unprofessional. They will find any way to charge you extra money for your rental. They lie to their teeth about the condition of the car when you return it so they can charge you extra money. Avoid this place at all costs. If you really have to book a car from this place, make sure to take so many pictures of the car before you pick it up and document all scratches, otherwise, they will find the smallest old scratch and charge for it.

I made a reservation via Kayak and received an confirmation by email. When I arrived at Dollar they told me that there was no car available! They where very rude and I was empty handed.

You don't respect the customer, once i arrived airport the said no cars available even i already booked.
Do not consider this company! It’s a bunch of thugs who run a scam! Even though I had a confirmed reservation, once I arrived at the pick up location, the agent informed me that he has no available cars and that the website is not working properly! I went to a different location and upon entering the office, the two agents were actively smoking and said they have no cars available, even though there were available cars visible outside!

The car we booked wasn’t available so we had to pay extra to get a bigger car. If it had been a free upgrade then I would have been happy with that but the fact we had to pay for it wasn’t acceptable.
Just in case be careful you may wait one hour to get your car.

When returning the car, the guy at the desk was extremely rude and unpleasant and he forced us to pay another day just because we returned the car after 10 days slightly later (according to the returning flight), including the insurance. The petrol was not full (as it should be) when taking the car, just 1/4 , we returned with plus minus 1/4 too and again he way telling us that we have slightly less petrol. So stupid - only full to full works, how otherwise one can exactly estimate the petrol tank content for arrival. Very unpleasant experience overall. Never more Europcar in Amman

Unfortunately they are the worst car hire I ever used. They try their best to rip you off. Not recommended at all.
The car in better condition as the horn wasn’t working plus tire pressure problems Delivery was not ready at time of pick up as there was no communication between head office and branch at the hotel On the positive side, the hotel agent was friendly and accommodating

El lugar de recogida en Amman era lejos del centro, el taxista no conocía la zona y la gente que preguntamos (incluso a 200 metros) no conocía la oficina. El coche era bastante viejo y usado. Tanto en la oficina de Amman como en la del aeropuerto de Aqaba, donde lo devolvimos, estaba cerrada la oficina y tuvimos que esperar bastante hasta que llamaron por teléfono y llegó el empleado. He alquilado otras veces en Avis sin inconvenientes, pero la experiencia en Avis Jordania fue más que mediocre.

Staying at Tala Bay I was careful to book a car to pick up nearby to avoid going into Aqaba. Avis sent at least 3 reminders to pickup the car at Movenpick Tala Bay. However, when I arrived at the appointed pickup time at Movenpick, I learned that Avis had closed its office there more than a year prior & the phone number to call Avis was actually Movenpick Tala Bay"s general number.NOT COOL! Fortunately, I was able to eventually reach Avis in Aqaba, who sent a fellow to bring me to that office. Fine. It took about 30 mins to find my reservation (fortunately, I had screenshots of my reservation & accessed Avis' confirming & reminder emails). The car wasn't what I'd chosen, needed a battery jump start, & tank was near empty. Rather unsettling. The staff was kind enough & I had no problem with the car once I set off (after a fuel fill up). Bottom line: Beware about booking with Avis Jordan. It's obvious their IT systems aren't up to date & car selection/location suffers as a result.

Hi, When i arrived at airport the reserved car was not available, they gave me a car with mechanical problems and wouldn't start, i had children with me, later i went to avis other office and they offered a van with manual transmission not automatic as my reservation, they didn't even give a discount or less rate, the van had 2 punctured tyres that i repaired on my expense Really one of worst experiences ever Regards Issam Qattash
