I made a reservation for a car rental only for Hertz to tell me they did not have a car and told me they would call me when they did. They never called and I called them 3 times to find out what the status was. They told me that they cancelled my rental and that I would not be able to rent one. So I called Hertz directly and they said they had cars available at a much higher rate. This was disappointing and what a hassle. I was in real bind and had to borrow a car for a week and do Uber on some days. So this was a bad experience and truly dissatisfied with what happened.

Hertz (or Priceline) confirmed my rental, then called me as I was traveling to pick up my car to let me know none were available. I checked back five hours later, just before the location closed, and they said that they would have no cars that day or the next. I know airlines sometimes overbook flights, but to have no cars available for more than 24 hours after you confirm a rental is ridiculous.
