The car hire was a simple process, easy to pick up, good car which was very fuel efficient. Drop off was also easy and issues. However, When I returned the car, instead of releasing the hold deposit, Budget witheld almost 400USD because they assumed I had not paid for the car hire (which I had pre-paid before pick up). When they have realised their mistake, they tried tiger the bank to issue the refund but apparently the bank wouldn’t let them. As a result, in order to get my money back I now have to pursue chargeback options through my credit card company because someone just failed to check details. This has made the whole experience dissatisfying and a pain in the butt! For that reason, I am wary to use them again. Perhaps Eurocar would be be a better option.
