Other than what I thought was pressure sales regarding insurance everything was great. This was the first time renting a car in another country. When I reserved it online I paid for additional insurance for $140.00 to cover collision and theft with no deductible. When I was picking up the car the sales lady was highly recommending I get this additional insurance for $110.00. After originally saying no she kept what I felt was pressure sales at which point I agreed. She kept saying if I had an accident this insurance would cover any lawsuit for injuries.

Comfort, cleanliness, pick-up & drop-off were all excellent but the price paid on the spot was 35% higher than the "pay at pick-up" on the QEEQ voucher
The actual car was satisfactory…the actual pick up was unsatisfactory as there was no one to greet us although I saw other car rental places with actual names waiting for the people to rent cars. More than disappointing. and actually quite quite frustrating.

It was quick and efficient to get our car from Grand Cayman Airport Avis. The last day our car didn't start, we tried to get it jumped but car wouldn't start. Called Grand Cayman Airport AVIS and they had someone there in less than 10 minutes to help us make our flight. Super wonderful and helpful in a stressful situation. Thanks to the nice people at Grand Cayman Airport Avis!!

Car was fine. I did not like the additional gas charge after I filled up the car.
Convenient location across the street from the Grand Cayman airport. Very friendly and efficient check in. Van was clean and functional. We would use this Hertz location again.

The problem was lack of up to date inventory on Grand Cayman The car I initially received was not in great condition, including a key fob that didn't work. I called the Hertz office expressing my disappointment. The next day, Ali, the manager, drove to the other side of the island, 45 minutes away, and swapped out the first car with a newer one in much better condition. He was very apologetic and empathetic. So overall, the service was great. Inventory, though, has apparently been an issue with regard to getting fresh cars from Hertz to the island.

Rented from Hertz in GC several times, and this particular vehicle was without a doubt below the standard we have come to expect of Hertz. The staff at pickup and drop-off were exceptionally friendly and helpful, my overall rating of 'okay' comes from a car in below-average condition. First, the key fob was scotch-taped together and could not be closed, none of the lock/unlock functions worked, including the trunk. The door strap on the front passenger door was completely missing, causing the door to always want to close getting in or out. The gas cap was very hesitant and did not open without a struggle. The gas gauge showed 3/4 tank upon pickup and when filling with gas would not hold more than 3/4 tank, suggesting the gauge may have a problem. These minor inconveniences combined with a car showing numerous dents and dings, a cigarette burn in the driver seat, and basic overall rough use are below the standards we are used to from Hertz.

Your listing was vague at best about insurance coverage. I paid for insurance but when I received it, it did not cover 3rd party liability. That was a charge I would have to pay at the desk when I picked up the car (surprise!) After going through 3 parties, all pointing fingers at each other (Cheapflights, Kayak, Budget), I immediately cancelled the booking. You need to be more up front with people about insurance needs and costs. This was brutal.
