Terrible, only one person working and never was told that a $250 deposit will be taken (which is fine). Tried to use my own insurance and they put a deposit of another $1000. They charge $55 for insurance per day if you use theirs. Tried to extend for one day and was told that they will take the $250 deposit as a fee for an extra day plus an additional charge. Overall terrible

We could not even rent from this place. This place was off the airport property in a shady area. The people at the counter were very rude and not helpful. And you had to add on a lot of items just to rent a car and a huge deposit. Plus our plane was delayed and we got there Late and they canceled our reservation and said that we only had an hour window. So needless to say we had to go back to the airport and rent a car from a reputable company.

I was unable to rent because having my business name on my credit card wasn’t sufficient. I had paperwork to prove I am the owner of the business, however, I had to take a train and a bus to get to this location 40 minutes off the airport and then another 40 minutes back to the airport to rent from Hertz at four times the amount of my original rental, Was extremely pissed. There is good reason they are cheaper than everyone else, you get what you pay for I guess

2 hours for geting the contract that they made us pay at the end for a ridiculous value, while it was the most expensive car i have rent in my life (much more expensive in Mexico that Europe which is curious), we felt they were not serious in their client relations when they asked 20 usd and took me an hour to give the car back, they were nice at the agency but their system is appoarently responsible there was no way for them to take into account that we rent the car for almost 1000usd for 6 days, and made us pay 2 hours more wherease we took the car at 12 on departure day instead of 10 am ( because of all the discussions about insurances, additional driver, checkin forms etc)

We picked a location that was walking distance from where we stayed. We got an upgrade to a mid size SUV, which really helped since there were four of us traveling, and some of the roads in the countryside were not paved. Be prepared to wait to pick up your car.

The car itself was fine. The local rental car counter service was terrible. They demanded physical passports , even though there is NOTHING in the terms and conditions that state this. They wouldn’t accept photos or allow us to change it. They were terrible to deal with.

We reserved our car with them 6 months before our trip, however when we arrived we were told that, despite us having a reservation, they didn’t have any cars left since it was a busy holiday weekend. I asked how that was possible and was told that since we didn’t prepay for the car, they were under no obligation to hold one for us and that this is a common practice in Mexico. Of course there was no communication about any of this when making the reservation or in the 6 months leading up to the trip. At that point we tried to ask the staff for help finding other options elsewhere since we were stuck. However they couldn’t have been less interested in helping us. We ended up having to take a taxi across town to an Enterprise and pay much more than we were planning to. Do not use Sixt ever again!
