The ladies at the counters were very helpful and accommodating when I asked to drive as car not as "fancy" as a Jaguar SUV. The BMW was more like the cars that I am accustomed to driving and it was very comfortable and responsive. I did not know that Sixt specializes in luxury cars, and only went with them bc they had the best price for the type of car we needed to haul 3 inflatable paddle boards, 1 inflatable raft, and 5 pieces of luggage. Returning the car was easy and the gentleman that took care of us exuded aloha spirit; he was a joy to talk with.

My experience with Sixt in Honolulu was excellent. When I booked the reservation with Kayak through Hotwire though, I was initially quoted $430.90 for a full size car 6/22-6/6/26/23. Upon my immediate confirmation of this booking, Hotwire changed the price to $603.72!! This is an egregious bait and switch tactic and false advertisement, and I have the paperwork to prove it. My booking reference number is #9701373860. Upon arrival into Honolulu/Sixt counter, I advised the agent of what happened and to see if anything could be done to reinstate my initial quoted rate. The amazing agent "THE Cathie" advised that because it was booked through a 3rd party website that they unfortunately could not reinstate my rate. However, what she DID DO to make up for Hotwire's upcharge was to immediately upgrade me to a Mercedes Benz from a Nissan Altima (or comparable), which turned out to be a $500+ upgrade free of charge which I didn't even ask for. Now THAT is true customer service! It is because of Sixt's awesome customer service and willingness to make things right for someone else's wrongs that I will definitely be booking Sixt again.

Worst company ever. No service. Rented us a car that needed to be serviced. Then refused to provide contact info for the branch I rented from. Was a huge mess on our vacation. Got hung up on many times from the company when I asked for a manager. Going to report them to commissioners.
