Not good... we didn't take a car from thrifty because the SUV which we reserved ended up being an electric sedan... not again with this company

Exceptionally Excellent service . They were so kind & took care of us by picking us up from the boat terminal . & then dropped us back too to the boat terminal. So welcoming . After a long flight that’s what you need. A sense of security at a new island . His wife told me about some local restaurants. I can keep on going in praising them . The only place to rent your car while on the island .

I had to wait over an hour for the only person working the rental desk at the hotel to show up. I kept calling and he said 10 more minutes and I will be there.

They took forever!!!! I have never booked with them because of the line I see everytime I get into LA but I just happened to land at 1am and thought it wouldn't be busy but we had to wait 2 hours for a car... ridiculous.

Line went pretty fast and the representative was very nice and helpful

Was charged for fuel (3 gallons) when I returned the car topped off. Completely unsatisfactory!

Got charged for key, full tank of gas and towing inspite of dropping the car with the key and full tank at the car rental drop off.

Knowing about the out of state fee ahead of time

I booked a vehicle on kayak, but when I went to pick up the vehicle they had a bunch of policies and fees that were not disclosed on the site. Because of this I did not take the rental despite driving almost an hour across the city to pick it up. And their staff were quite rude about it! A waste of money and time!

The shuttle pickup service is a joke - waited 20 minutes after being told shuttle ran continuously. Staff were amazingly indifferent. Ridiculous rule about producing proof of liability insurance (although this has been communicated in advance). Cajoled into adding (unnecessary) Itoll gadget fo $14.

Predatory rates. They lock you into a low up front rate that you cannot cancel or reschedule and then force you to pay for extra charges at pick up. If you have any issues, I watched they tell other customers that they cannot fix the issue and to call a customer service line that no one ever answers. Then we had to wait almost an hour for our car along with 15+ other customers all waiting outdoors in the heat with their kids for cars.

I had a reservation to pick up my car at 7 PM. However, they close at 7 PM and being a few minutes late I was out my car! They were should’ve never let that reservation go through! I ended up paying for their mistake, big time!

As my flight was delayed, I was told by NU that can only keep the reservation for 2 hours. There as no way for me to get to the NU location on time I had to rent another venison Avis and to give up on the NU car. I lost the rental fee that I paid in full since this was a non refundable rental. I will never rent a car from NuU again. And I’ll make sure to share my experience with as many people as I can. We forgot our national drivers license (we had only the international one) the staff was vergeten friendly and we shipped the documents to the office

Easy pick up and drop off. We were able to choose a vehicle from the lot.

Very nice vehicle. Clean, well kept, no damage. Only downside was the requirement for winter tires in BC which I tried to account for with my vehicle selection (intermediate SUV). The reservation was for a one way trip from Vancouver to Calgary. Sections of the mountains require winter tires by law. I called in advance to add winter tires to my booking and was told over the phone that they had to be added at the pick up counter which didn't make sense (wouldn't they need to know in advance to have the vehicle prepared or the correct vehicle available?)... At the pick up counter, I was told the only vehicles available with winter tires would be an additional $50/day. We ended up being charged an additional $200 in total to have the legally required winter tires on the vehicle. I would've thought that a one way reservation through the mountains would prompt an appropriately equipped vehicle with the legally required tires to be available. Beware of the unexpected upfront fees.

issues with designating the driver for vehicle. We wanted a different driver than the credit card holder to be the primary driver and were made to pay extra for the additional driver for no reason as credit card holder did not need to be a primary driver
