We had to wait a while during pickup as there weren’t many cars available at the time. Then an employee gave us a bigger since we were waiting for a long time for the size we had reserved (holiday weekend). But then a manager didn’t want to do after we had already put all our luggage into the car. So they made us take all our stuff out of the car and wait longer. Eventually we got the car and everything went well. We were compensated for the inconvenience and long waiting so overall experience was good.

It ended up being Dominique at National car rentals that saved the day. Our plane was late, and it was impossible to reach the Enterprise desk by phone to find out what to do before they closed once the plane was on the ground but we were still sitting in it waiting for a gate. We spoke to an off-site person via the given phone number who did not know the situation at this particular airport and did not have access to a phone number for us to find out. As it turned out, Enterprise hands over to National at closing time, but nowhere was this explained--we were worried about getting stuck at the airport with a person in a wheelchair and the rest of our group. Only a dire warning to be there 15 minutes before closing time, which we could not do. We got the car easily, once we knew it was all fine. Unnecessary stress before that. Thank you Team National.

Only car company that never has anything ready to go for reservations. I had to wait two hours and then instead of a full size SUV take a horrible old minivan with no features that was scary to drive then they wouldn't even give a discount. They are weird A F and wanted to take selfies on pickup too. Would have had to wait what looked like another two hours at least if I wanted to hold for what I actually reserved two months ahead of time.

They did not have the full size car available. We were only given an option of an electric car or an enormous pickup truck. We chose the truck, which was difficult to park at our destination. Would have preferred the car.

Renting the car in Houston was great. Dropping it off in Park City was worse than usual. Plus I was charged $200 in extra fees on top of my prepaid rental.

We liked that we had a car! Disliked that pickup in Houston took forever. I guess we arrived right at shift change or something because only two agents were working and one was with a single customer for the entire time we waited in line and then received service myself at counter. Agent was fine but basically said here’s your paperwork go pick any car on this row. Really not sure we got what we paid for or cars are really starting to get small. The car was really beat up and we picked the best least dented scratch one possible. Once we got in car to leave we had to ask the gate attendant for a pen to mark all the areas that were damaged. Shouldn’t the counter agent given us a pen and told us to mark up and make ready the damage form. Everyone in the gate line seemed to be asking her for a pen. The gate agent was super friendly and doing the best she could especially having to stop and wait for customers to fill out paperwork. In Albuquerque service really wasn’t good or bad. I asked the agent checking in cars if I will get a receipt and he told me sure it will be emailed and walked away. Still haven’t got that receipt. Not sure what I actually will pay till it hits my credit card as we turned the rental in a day earlier. Not assuming I will get any discount for early return or not.

Quick and easy pick up at Houston hobby airport. Quick services at the desk in Houston. Always hate getting pressured to buy the insurance though. Check in in San Antonio at north park Lincoln was a mess because the dealership is under construction. But the staff was still helpful.

Dollar did not have a vehicle for me upon my arrival, despite having a reservation for two weeks. They also had no alternatives and no recommendations, so we were basically stranded upon arrival over 800 miles away from home. Thankfully, Enterprise was able to accommodate us.

Had to wait about an hour to get the car. When the car finally showed up, it was filthy inside. By that time I just wanted to leave, went straight to the hotel and cleaned the inside of the car myself. Stay away from dollar/Thrifty. Absolutely not worth it.

No cars available at pickup. People were waiting over two hours. Despite having a reserved car, we eventually gave up and went across the street to ENTERPRISE, which had cars available right away. Never rent from Thrifty/Dollar!

I liked thay I was able to use my own car insurance when picking up the car and not bring forced to take Dollar's insurance. The lady at the counter tried to force me to purchase Dollar's insurance and was mad when I didn't. In addition, the vehicle was not cleaned good. There were ants coming out of the vents when the AC was turned on and we found a bug that looked like a tick in the vehicle. It was AWEFUL! What could be done better? A positive customer service attitude even if the customer doesn't purchase the company insurance offered, and better vehicle cleaning.

New car was not clean when received. Staff was unfriendly. Car battery died twice and they cared little for our inconvenience. In total had to wait 5 hours for roadside assistance. Little communication beyond making sure they read me every disclaimer that I was responsible for the vehicle and may be charged for roadside assistance.. As of right now, no one has reached out and they still have not reimbursed me for the day without a car. Total disaster.

I canceled my order, the representatives on the phone, could not understand me, they had no idea what a convertible was, a total run around, from start to finish, I’ll never use a bus again…. Hire people they can speak English.

I was arriving to the Houston Hobby airport in a car with a friend. I could not determine how to get into the lot to get my rental car. The interior of the car was clean except for the piece of bacon on the emergency brake. The exterior not so clean. The interaction with the person at the counter was great. The drop off at Charlotte airport efficient.

The car was a beater. Dents and scrapes all over and the “see maintenance” light kept coming on. Upon return our location didn’t exist, along with several others. Nobody at these “drop off locations” knew anything about Avis returns. The customer service line wasn’t much help either. Made for a very stressful evening.
