The staff when checking in was very nice and empathetic of the long, long delays at other carriers, such as thrifty that had many people beyond frustrated. The Alamo staff made that horrific check in experience much better when they came over to Alamo . Check out staff were also friendly and prompt, and made that process easy as well.

Reserved a medium size car at the Atlanta airport. The wait time to pick up the car was going to be 3-4 hours. But surprisingly they had plenty of full size SUV’s available for a $250.00 per day up charge that could only be returned to Atlanta airport. Hertz was not the only rental car company at Atlanta airport with long waits to pick up cars. It was the Worst experience I have ever had renting a car.

Ridiculous service, i rented cars many times in the US. Now at the advantex desk i was asked for a “international drivers licence” I said i never had to present that. But she couldn’t care. I stepped 5 steps to the right and found myself in front of the Alamo desk and luckily they had a car for me without an International license as do all the other rental companies. In 30 years of traveling i never ever experienced such a rude employee at the desk

Car smelled like cigarette smoke. Took 3 calls and 2 hours to make sure they didn't charge $240 to us for it. My passenger could not ride in it the smell was so bad. They sold my mom the $50 return car without filling it up to return. The tank doesn't even hold $50 worth of gas. They tried to have us cancel the insurance purchased from kayak and buy their insurance. Also to pay for toll pass although there were no tolls on our trip. I will not recommend them.

They did not give my deposit back, there's no way there's any damage/interior issues. Price gouging when people are stranded in an airport is also shameful. I will say the employees at Atlanta Airport were fantastic and helped everyone get their rental car as fast as they could in a stressful situation. Give all the money you gouged from me to them as bonuses if you're going to be thieves.

Very unorganized. Car was given to me with half a tank and when I returned it with half a tank they said it should have been full and charged me. Paperwork wasn’t done correctly and they couldn’t even give me a receipt at the drop off.

My wife and I had to wait outside in the cold for 1 hour in line to get my car. They did not have cars for people but they did have ours once we were able to get to the counter. Once we got the car, it smelled like someone had just been smoking marijuana in the car. The car was not completely filled with gas. When I returned the car, I was charged more than I was originally quoted. Budget charged me for rental insurance which I had declined. Budget did send me a copy of the receipt where they showed that I initialed for the coverage. It is my fault as after an hour of waiting outside in the cold, I just initialed where the agent told me too. That was my fault but Budget pulled a fast one on me to get that additional money. I tried to get them to refund me for that and they wouldn't. Budget will not get me ever again... as I will NEVER rent from them again. The customer experience was HORRIBLE!!

Every other rental car company has 2-3 person lines if any at all, while budget was 20+ and I had to wait just for them to heard us outside and tell us there are no cars available. Had to stay in a hotel overnight instead. Go anywhere but here no matter the price, it isn’t worth it.

Only after being on line for 45 minutes did they let everyone know that they didn’t have cars to my reservations that were there. Instead if you booked in the last week your reservation wouldn’t be honored at all and if you did there was a roughly 3 hour wait after you get to the front the line to get a car. This left hundreds of families including me to scramble to find alternatives last minute. What’s worse in my opinion is that after paying 4x to get a car at another agency they mentioned that this was normal for dollar and thrifty at that location and they were nearly out of cars from last minute cancelled booking that made it to their lines that day

The pick up experience was terrible from Ace rental. They seemed to be very under staffed as there was one person working behind the counter and a line of about 8 people when I arrived. We waited in line for a good 30 minutes even though everyone in line seemed to have made a reservation prior. Once it was our turn in line the woman that we dealt with behind the counter was very rude and unfriendly. Needles to say I will not be using Ace again to rent a vehicle. I would rather go to Hertz or Enterprise next time even if it is slightly more expensive.

Terrible! My flight was delayed by an hour but they never notified me that they’d give the car away. I ended up being stranded and had to wait an additional hour and shell out twice as much money for a car with another company. You should always go with well known and established rental car companies instead of ACE.

When I arrived with my dutch drivers license, they insisted I also needed an international drivers license. They wouldn't give me a car. I went to Fox and they rented without any problems. The need for an international license was not in the information they sent when I booked the car.

Check in took a while! Only one staff member who was clearly overworked and had a huge line of customers. I was able to pick up my rental quickly but there were two other families who had been waiting for over 20m to get their rental. My car had a huge crack on the rear view mirror that no one knew (or seemed fine care) about. Online booking, actual car were fine. Seems like the staff could use some help!

Once we figured out that the rental place was really off site everything went pretty smoothly. It would have been nice to have instruction and AVR's phone number in the confirmation from Kayak for how to set up the shuttle to get the van. Everyone at AVR was very helpful and accommodating.

They also want to put extra charges on bill after drop off that was sent to my email with out explanation. when I called so they can explain the charges they say there going to call back. I'm still waiting I called them three times. Don't waste you time nor money with these people and they also have a bad attitude.
